Machine Gun Shoot
The Machine Gun Shoot is a semi annual event typically held on the first or second weekend of April and October. The next Machine Gun Shoot takes place on October 8th, 9th & 10th 2010.

The participants are machine gun dealers, collectors and enthusiast from all over the country. The Machine Gun Shoot itself consist of four rounds of firing at a wide variety of appliances, vehicles, pyramids of tires, and barrels of fuel with pyrotechnic charges attached. The pyrotechnic charges are then painted orange for the shooter to see. The charges are set off by the impact of the bullets. Creating large and small mushroom clouds and

quad 50's,
mini guns,
MG 42's,
water cooled browning AK 47's and many others too numerous to mention.
K.C.R. National Open & Closed Subgun Competition
The open bolt and closed bolt Subgun Competition will be held on Friday and Saturday, at the Subgun Range directly south of the main range. A range briefing will be held at 8:30 a.m. each day, with the competition starting promptly at 9:00 a.m. There will be one or more competitive stages set up for the competition. Calibers allowed are .380 and larger. NO 22’s! You will need at least 100 rds of ammo and several magazine changes are required.

NOTICE: The Subgun Range will be run as a “cold” range. Please see “rules summary” 5.0 for a description. We are squading all shooters as they sign up. Please choose Friday or Saturday AND list times that are convenient for you.

Assault Rifle Competition
The Assault Rifle Competition will require a minimum of 30 rounds with at least one magazine change likely. The course will consist of 4 stages with 5 steel targets in each. However, the last bank will have 5 steel targets with one paper target in which 5 shots will be taken.
All steel targets will be done as 1 shot per target going from left to right. A target shot out of sequence will be called a missed target and a 10 second penalty will be assessed. In addition, there will be a bonus target on each stage. If hit you will have ten seconds removed from your total time. If missed there is no penalty. The object of this competition is to end up with the lowest possible time. Your score is based on moving time, target score and penalty score. The target distances will be from 50 yards to 125 yards. Ammo pouches, mag pouches and jungle clip magazines will be allowed.

Old Military Bolt Action Rifle Competition
Old Military Bolt Action Rifle Competition will require a minimum of 30 rounds. The course will consist of 4 stages with 5 steel targets in each. However, the last stage will have a paper target along with the 5 steel plates. You will shoot all stages from left to right with one shot at each plate. If you shoot a target out of sequence you will acquire a 10 second penalty. There will also be a bonus target on each stage. If you hit the bonus you will receive a 10 second bonus off of your time. If you miss the bonus, no penalty will be assessed. The object of this competition is to finish with the lowest possible score. Your score is based on running time, paper target score, targets hit and targets missed. No modern modifications will be allowed. Only guns in original military issue configurations. K.C.R. Shotgun Competition
A bonus of five seconds will be deducted from the score of contestants whose equipment meets all of the following conditions. The competition director shall make the decision as to awarding bonuses.
- The weapon must conform to the general configuration of production weapons (as opposed to factory custom shops) with only slight modification to sights, barrel length and trigger weight.
- Maximum barrel length is 22” on any firearm.
- No add on recoil compensators. (porting, such as Magna Port, Keeper or Pro Port, which do not add length to the weapon is acceptable)
- No add on devices to enhance reloading.
- No optical sights or dot sights.
- No flimsy device of any kind unsuitable for the rigors of duty use shall be allowed.
- The weapon shall not weigh more than 2 ounces that its original factory weapon (empty).
- (Magazine extensions or metallic sights which approximate optional factory equipment will qualify).
- No slugs or birdshot. (# 4 buckshot or larger only)
- ALL SHOOTERS MUST WEAR HEARING AND EYE PROTECTION!

K.C.R. Practical Pistol Competition
Scoring:
The lowest cumulative time wins the match (total of times for each stage + penalties).
Each stage will begin with the tone of the timer and end with the last shot fired. Paper targets must have at least 7 points to be neutralized. A sample target will be available to view at the match.
Calibers:
No caliber smaller than 9mm. A power factor for minor calibers (9mm, 38, and 38 super) is 125. For major calibers (357, 45acp and up) are 165. To calculate the power factor, multiply bullet weight x velocity and divide by 1000.
Equipment:
No speed holsters allowed. No compensated guns allowed. Holsters and mag pouches must be worn behind the hip. That is usually within 3”of the seams of your pants. No cross draw holsters allowed. No shoulder holsters allowed. All shooters must wear eye and ear protection at all times.
NOTICE:
This is a practical pistol match. Your pistol must be something that you would and could wear concealed. Safety is our first concern. If you handle your weapon in an unsafe manner, you will be D.Q.ed at the discretion of the Range Officer. If you do a 180, that is turn around or point your weapon up range, loaded or unloaded, you will automatically be D.Q.ed! Do not handle your weapon till you are instructed by the Range Officer. The Machine Gun Pistol Match will be a cold range, which is no loaded weapons except on the firing line under the supervision of a R.O. Remember space is limited, only one run per person.

Gun Show
The Military Gun Show has drawn dealers from all over the country to buy, sell, and trade Class III Firearms. The show is set up in a large lighted pole barn adjacent to the firing line and Clubhouse. Security is on patrol at all times. Knob Creek cordially invites you to come and support your second amendment "
the right to keep and bear arms".
- No ATVs will be allowed for personal transportation. There are courtesy transports available to transport people and their merchandise to and from the parking lot as well as the gun show area and lower ranges.
- Camping at Knob Creek Gun Range is offered on a first come first serve basis and is pro-rated. Those arriving Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday will pay $50.00 per person, campers setting up Thursday will pay $40.00 per person, campers setting up Friday will pay $30.00 per person and campers setting up Saturday will pay $20.00 per person. Campers under 18 are free if accompanied by their parents. Be advised there are no electric or water hookups, however Port-A- Pots are available.
- General admission -- Adults $10.00 a day. Children under 12 $5.00 a day.

- Open shooting is allowed on the lower range. The price is $20 per person for a single relay of 90 minutes. Report to range early for squading.
